Austrian expands network into Middle East: Premium Service on
Amman route
The Austrian Airlines Group continues to expand its route network into the Middle East. From May 2009 onwards, the company will incorporate another destination into its regional flight schedule, with three new flights a week to Amman, capital of the Kingdom of Jordan.
Flights on the new route will operate using an Airbus A320 featuring the Austrian Premium Service, enabling guests to enjoy a unique mix of Austrian hospitality and Oriental flair.
Changes to bmi’s summer 2009 timetable
bmi is making changes to the summer 2009 network. Daily flights from Amsterdam to London Heathrow have been reduced to four per day, while flights from Heathrow to Riyadh have been doubled to six flights a week, with connecting services to other destinations across the Middle East.
Since March of this year bmi is operating ten flights per week from Heathrow to Beirut and Amman. As part of the summer schedule bmi is also operating a five times a week service from London Heathrow to the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
Croatia Airlines summer schedule
In the new summer timetable 2009, Croatia Airlines offers direct flights from Amsterdam:
Other destinations like Zadar, Sarajevo, Skopje, Prishtina and Podgorica can be reached via Zagreb.
On board, Croatian meals and wines are served like in the good old days free of charge, and Croatian natural wonders, historic values, and cultural events are presented through the in-flight magazine “CROATIA” and promotional tourist movies.

Air Canada inaugurates today year-round non-stop service between Montreal and Geneva (first flight departs Geneva June 2, 2009), with same-plane service continuing on to/from Toronto. The carrier's Star Alliance partner, Swiss International Air Lines, will offer seats on a code-share basis on the new route.
The introduction of the only non-stop service between Montreal and Geneva is great news for customers traveling on business, including international organizations, as well as for leisure travelers providing easy access to major tourist locations in Switzerland and France.
Air New Zealand to increase capacity between Rarotonga – Los Angeles
Air New Zealand will increase capacity between Rarotonga and Los Angeles by 34% for the peak season between December 20 2009 – February 28 2010.
The once-a-week 767-300 service will be changed to use the larger 777-200ER aircraft, adding an additional 77 seats per week in each direction. The 777-200ER will have a seating configuration of 278 Economy and 26 Business Premier.
“We had very high loads last summer with tourists from Europe and North America and we are confident we will be able to fill a larger aircraft over this time,” says Air New Zealand Group General Manager International Airline Ed Sims.
